Connecting Stripe for Payments
Hi.Events uses Stripe to process payments. You need to connect a Stripe account before you can sell paid tickets.
How to Get There
- Click your profile icon and go to Account Settings
- Click the Payment & Plan tab
- Click Connect Stripe
You will be redirected to Stripe to either create a new account or connect an existing one.
What Stripe Handles
- Credit and debit card processing
- Refund processing
- Payout management — funds are deposited to your bank account on Stripe’s standard schedule
- PCI compliance — Stripe handles all sensitive card data securely
After Connecting
Once connected, paid tickets on all your events will process through your Stripe account. You do not need to connect Stripe for each event separately — it is an account-level setting.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect Stripe from the same settings page. Note that disconnecting will prevent all paid ticket sales until a new Stripe account is connected.
Tips
- Connect Stripe before publishing events with paid tickets
- Refunds are processed through Stripe and returned to the original payment method
- Check your Stripe dashboard for detailed payment analytics and payout schedules
