Three steps from sign-up to your first sale

No credit card to start, no sales call and nothing to install. Most organizers are selling the same day they sign up.

  1. Create your event

    Add your dates, venue and tickets. Your event page goes live the moment you publish, in your colours and with your cover art.

  2. Share the link

    Post it, email it, or embed checkout on your own website. Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no account to create and no app to install.

  3. Get paid as tickets sell

    Card payments settle into your own Stripe account. Tickets go out by email with a QR code, and you scan them at the door from any phone.

The last column compares like for like: where a platform's fee includes card processing, Stripe's standard rate is added to ours first. Resident Advisor no longer publishes its fee, so 10% is its last known rate. Shotgun does not publish one, and DICE's varies by country and by deal. Free events on Hi.Events carry no platform fee.

How do I sell tickets online with Hi.Events?
Create a free Hi.Events account, add your event with its dates, venue and ticket types, connect your Stripe account and publish. How much does it cost to sell tickets online?
Free events on Hi.Events cost nothing. For paid tickets, Hi.Events charges 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per ticket (60¢ in the US, €0.50 in the EU, 45p in the UK, A$0.85 in Australia). You can pass that fee to buyers at checkout or absorb it yourself. Card processing is charged separately by Stripe. There is no monthly fee, no setup fee and no contract.See pricing →
Do I need a website to sell tickets?
No. Every Hi.Events event gets its own page that you can share anywhere, plus a branded organizer page listing everything you have on sale. When do I get paid?
As tickets sell. You connect your own Stripe account to Hi.Events through Stripe Connect and card payments settle into it directly. Hi.Events never holds your money. Payout timing follows your Stripe schedule, so the funds are typically in your bank well before the event.Connecting Stripe →
What can buyers pay with?
Every major credit and debit card, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay and the local payment methods Stripe offers in your region. Buyers do not need an account or an app: they check out on your event page and get their ticket by email.
How do attendees get their tickets, and how do I check them in?
Hi.Events emails the ticket as soon as the order is paid, with a QR code and a PDF. At the door you open the check-in list from a link on any phone and scan the code with the camera, or search a name and tap. Counts stay live on every device.
What if I need to refund someone?
Full and partial refunds are built in. Refund an order from your Hi.Events dashboard and Stripe returns the money to the buyer’s card. You can cancel the ticket at the same time.
Do you offer reserved seating?
Not yet. Hi.Events is built for general admission and capacity-based ticketing: ticket types, tiers, capacity per date and capacity shared across types. If your event needs assigned seats, it is not the right fit today.
