Best event ticketing platforms

Most event booking sites do the same basic job: an event page, a checkout and a QR code at the door. What separates them is what they charge on each ticket, when your money arrives, whether they bring you an audience, and whether they fit your kind of event. These are the platforms organizers shortlist most, with each one's published fee and what it is good at.

Fees and features from each platform's own pricing pages, checked September 2026. We make Hi.Events, so it is listed first and labelled. Every figure for the others is sourced on its comparison page.

§ 03 · FAQ

Choosing an event ticketing platform

What does each platform cost on a $30 ticket?
Counting card processing on every platform, the cheapest on this list in US dollars are TryBooking ($1.69), pretix ($1.92), TicketSource ($2.04), Tito ($2.07). Percentage fees grow with the ticket price and flat fees do not, so the order changes on cheaper and dearer tickets; the table on this page shows every platform in four currencies.
What is the best event ticketing platform?
The one that fits your event and your audience. If you need new buyers to find you, a marketplace like Eventbrite or DICE does that and charges for it. If you already have an audience, a platform with a low fee, your own branding and checkout on your own website, like Hi.Events, Tito or pretix, keeps more of each ticket. Charities can look at Humanitix and TicketSource's charity rates, and schools and clubs in Australia at TryBooking.
What is the difference between a ticketing platform and an event booking site?
Mostly the marketplace. An event booking site in the Eventbrite or DICE sense lists your event where people browse for things to do. A ticketing platform like Hi.Events, Tito or pretix gives you the event page, checkout and check-in, and leaves the promotion to you. Many organizers use a ticketing platform and promote the link themselves.
Which event ticketing platform pays out fastest?
Platforms that take payments through your own Stripe or payment account, such as Hi.Events, Luma, Tito and pretix, put the money in that account as tickets sell. Platforms that collect the money themselves pay it out on their own schedule, which on Eventbrite is after the event by default.Ticketing payouts compared →
Which is the cheapest?
It depends on the ticket price and the country, because a flat fee is a big share of a cheap ticket and a percentage is a big share of an expensive one. The fee table on this page works every platform out on the same ticket, card processing included.Cheapest ticketing platform →
