Before you switch

How do the fees compare?
Resident Advisor no longer publishes its fee; its last known rate is 10% per ticket, paid by the buyer and covering card processing. Hi.Events charges 1.25% plus a small fixed amount: 45p in the UK, €0.50 in the EU, 60¢ in the US, A$0.85 in Australia, and you pay Stripe's card rate (1.5% + 20p on UK cards) separately. Counting that, a £30 ticket costs £3.00 on RA against £1.48. You can pass our fee to buyers or absorb it.See pricing →Resident Advisor fees explained →
When do I get paid?
You connect your own Stripe account and card payments settle into it directly as tickets sell. We never hold your money, so artist deposits are covered before the night.Connecting Stripe →
Can I move my events over from RA?
Yes. Recreating an event takes a few minutes, then you point your links at the new page. Existing orders stay on RA while new sales run through Hi.Events.
Can I still list the event on RA?
Yes. RA lets you list an event with an external ticket link, so the listing stays and the sale runs through Hi.Events.
Do attendees need an account or an app?
No. They check out on your event page, get their ticket by email with a QR code, and you scan it at the door with the check-in app.
Is Hi.Events really open source?
Yes, under the AGPL licence. Most organizers use the hosted version so they never touch a server, but the code is public and you can self-host it if you prefer.View on GitHub →
