Promo Codes & Discounts
Promo codes let you offer discounts, reveal hidden tickets, or track which marketing channels drive sales.
How to Get There
- Open your event
- Click Promo Codes in the left sidebar (under Ticketing & Sales)
Creating a Promo Code
- Click + Create
- Enter a code (what attendees will type)
- Choose a discount type — percentage off or fixed amount
- Set the discount amount
- Select which products the code applies to
- Optionally set a usage limit and expiry date
Promo Code Options
- Code — the text attendees enter (case-insensitive)
- Discount type — percentage or fixed amount
- Discount amount — the value of the discount
- Applicable products — which tickets or products the code works with
- Max uses — total number of times the code can be used (leave blank for unlimited)
- Expiry date — when the code stops working
Beyond Discounts
Promo codes can do more than reduce prices:
- Reveal hidden tickets — link a code to a hidden ticket type so it becomes visible when the code is entered
- Track marketing channels — create different codes for different campaigns to see which drives the most sales
- Early access — give newsletter subscribers or VIPs a code before public sale
Tips
- Make codes easy to type but not easy to guess
- Test your codes on the event page before sharing them
- Monitor usage from the promo codes list to see which codes are performing
