Promo Codes & Discounts

Promo codes let you offer discounts, reveal hidden tickets, or track which marketing channels drive sales.

How to Get There

  1. Open your event
  2. Click Promo Codes in the left sidebar (under Ticketing & Sales)

Creating a Promo Code

  1. Click + Create
  2. Enter a code (what attendees will type)
  3. Choose a discount type — percentage off or fixed amount
  4. Set the discount amount
  5. Select which products the code applies to
  6. Optionally set a usage limit and expiry date

Promo Code Options

  • Code — the text attendees enter (case-insensitive)
  • Discount type — percentage or fixed amount
  • Discount amount — the value of the discount
  • Applicable products — which tickets or products the code works with
  • Max uses — total number of times the code can be used (leave blank for unlimited)
  • Expiry date — when the code stops working

Beyond Discounts

Promo codes can do more than reduce prices:

  • Reveal hidden tickets — link a code to a hidden ticket type so it becomes visible when the code is entered
  • Track marketing channels — create different codes for different campaigns to see which drives the most sales
  • Early access — give newsletter subscribers or VIPs a code before public sale

Tips

  • Make codes easy to type but not easy to guess
  • Test your codes on the event page before sharing them
  • Monitor usage from the promo codes list to see which codes are performing
