Customizing the Event Page
You customize your public Hi.Events event page — the page attendees see when they visit your event link — with the Homepage Designer.
How to Get There
- Open your event
- Click Homepage Designer in the left sidebar (under Setup & Design)
You will see a live preview alongside the design controls, which are grouped into four panels.
Images
Cover Image — the hero banner at the top of your event page. Recommended dimensions are 1950px by 650px (a 3:1 ratio), with a maximum file size of 5MB.
Theme & Colors
- Background — either Solid color or Blurred cover, which uses a blurred version of your cover image as the background. Blurred cover is disabled until you have uploaded a cover image.
- Background Color — the background colour of the page. With Blurred cover selected this field becomes Overlay Color, which tints the blurred cover image behind your page.
- Accent Color — used for buttons, links and highlights
- Color Mode — Light or Dark for the page’s text and cards. Hi.Events sets this automatically from your background colour, and you can override it.
If your colours make text hard to read, a warning appears with a suggested fix.
Typography
Font Family — choose a typeface that matches your brand.
Button Text
- Continue Button — the label on the button shown below the ticket list, for example “Get Tickets” or “Register Now”. Defaults to “Continue”.
- Floating Button — the label on the floating button that appears as visitors scroll and jumps to the tickets section. Defaults to “Get Tickets”.
Page Content
The event description (set in Event Settings) is displayed as the main content of the page — it is not edited from the designer.
Organizer Page
Organizers have their own designer — from the organizer dashboard, click Homepage Designer in the left sidebar, under Tools. It works the same way, with these differences:
- The Images panel has a Logo upload (recommended 400px by 400px, max 5MB, shown in the header) alongside the cover image
- There is no Button Text panel — the continue button label is an event-level setting
Theme & Colors and Typography are identical to the event designer.
Previewing and Saving
Colour, typography, and button text changes are reflected in real time in the preview pane. Use the desktop and mobile toggle above the preview to see how the page looks on each. On a phone, switch between Edit and Preview at the top of the designer.
Click Save Changes to save your design, or Discard to undo your edits. The cover image saves as soon as you upload it.
