Customizing the Event Page
The Homepage Designer lets you control the look of your public event page — the page attendees see when they visit your event link.
How to Get There
- Open your event
- Click Homepage Designer in the left sidebar (under Setup & Design)
You will see a live preview alongside the design controls, which are grouped into four panels.
Images
Cover Image — the hero banner at the top of your event page. Recommended dimensions are 1950px by 650px (a 3:1 ratio), with a maximum file size of 5MB.
Theme & Colors
- Background Type — either Color (a solid background colour) or Use cover image, which uses a blurred version of your cover image as the background. Use cover image is disabled until you have uploaded a cover image.
- Accent Color — the primary brand colour used for buttons and highlights
- Background Color — the background colour of the page. When using the cover image background, this is applied as an overlay on top of it, so it matters in both modes.
- Color Mode — Light or Dark for the page’s text and cards. Hi.Events detects this automatically from your background colour, and you can override it.
Underneath the colour controls, a readability check shows either Good readability or Text may be hard to read — a warning that your accent and background combination may be hard to read for some users.
Typography
Font Family — choose a typeface that matches your brand.
Button Text
- Continue Button Text — customise the label on the checkout button, for example “Get Tickets” or “Register Now”.
- Get Tickets Button Text — customise the label on the floating button that scrolls the page to the tickets section.
Page Content
The event description (set in Event Settings) is displayed as the main content of the page — it is not edited from the designer.
Organizer Page
Organizers have their own designer — from the organizer dashboard, click Homepage Designer in the left sidebar, under Tools. It works the same way, with these differences:
- The Images panel has a Logo upload (recommended 400px by 400px, max 5MB, shown in the header) alongside the cover image
- There is no Button Text panel — the continue button label is an event-level setting
Theme & Colors and Typography are identical to the event designer.
Previewing and Saving
Colour, typography, and button text changes are reflected in real time in the preview pane, but they are not saved automatically — click Save Changes before leaving the page, or those edits will be lost. The cover image is the exception: it is saved as soon as you upload it.
