5,000+ organizers trust Hi.Events

Conference ticketing.
Delegates registered, invoiced and checked in.

Hi.Events is a conference ticketing system and registration tool for conference organizers. It costs 1.25% + $0.60 per paid ticket, delegates whose employer pays get a proper invoice, and card payments settle into your own Stripe account as tickets sell.

Selling 250 tickets at $30? You'd keep $481 more than on Eventbrite.

Registration that asks what you need

Ask for company, job title and dietary needs on the delegate ticket, and something different on the speaker ticket. Questions are set per ticket type and the answers come out in the attendee export.

Invoices for delegates whose employer pays

Every order can carry an invoice with your own numbering, business details and tax number. Delegates who cannot pay by card choose bank transfer and follow the instructions you wrote.

A registration desk that runs from a link

Desk staff open a check-in link on their own phones and scan the QR code on each ticket. Every device sees the same live count, with a separate list for each entrance or each day.

Why organizers move to Hi.Events

We’ve used Hi.Events now for a few events and really love it. It’s also been fun to see improvements roll out as we go. We’re definitely never going back to Eventbrite.

§ 03 · Tickets

How conference registration is usually set up for 300 delegates

One event, one shared capacity of 300, and a ticket type for each kind of delegate. Each ticket type has its own price, sale window and registration questions.

  • Early bird

A lower price with a sale window that closes on a date you choose, or tiered pricing, where each price level has its own quantity and sale dates and the cheaper ones run out first.

  • Standard delegate

The full-price ticket, with registration questions for company, job title and dietary needs.

  • Student or member rate

A promo code for a percentage or a fixed amount off, limited to the ticket types you pick.

  • Speakers, sponsors and staff

A hidden free ticket that only appears when a promo code is entered, or people added by hand without an order.

  • Workshop day or conference dinner

An add-on attached to the delegate ticket, or sold on its own, with its own stock limit.

  • Paying by bank transfer

Offline payment with instructions you write. The order gets an invoice and stays marked as unpaid until you mark it as paid.

§ 07 · FAQ

Before you open registration

How much does the Hi.Events conference ticketing system cost?
Free conferences cost nothing. Paid tickets are 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per ticket: 60¢ in the US, €0.50 in the EU, 45p in the UK and A$0.85 in Australia. There is no monthly fee and no contract. You can pass the fee to the delegate at checkout or absorb it, and Stripe charges its card processing separately. Card payments settle into your own Stripe account as tickets sell, on your Stripe payout schedule.See pricing →
Can delegates get an invoice and pay by bank transfer?
Yes. Turn on invoicing for the event and every order gets a PDF invoice with your numbering prefix, organization name and address, tax details and payment terms. Turn on offline payments and delegates can choose bank transfer at checkout and follow the instructions you wrote. Their tickets are issued straight away and marked as unpaid, the order shows as awaiting payment until you mark it as paid, and by default unpaid attendees cannot be checked in.Invoices and receipts →Offline payments →
How is VAT handled on conference tickets?
You create a tax such as VAT once, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and apply it to the ticket types it covers. Each event then chooses whether buyers see prices with tax included or see the tax itemized at checkout. The tax is listed on the invoice along with your VAT or tax registration number. Hi.Events does not work out which rate applies to you, so check that with your accountant.Taxes and fees →
Does it work as conference registration software, with custom questions?
Yes. Registration questions can be asked once per order or once per ticket, and limited to the ticket types they apply to, so delegates are asked for company, job title and dietary needs while speakers are asked something else. Question types include text, dropdowns, checkboxes, dates and addresses. Answers appear on each attendee record and in the attendee export.Registration questions →
How do speaker, sponsor and staff tickets work?
Create a free or discounted ticket type, hide it, and attach it to a promo code. Only people who enter the code see the ticket, so you can send one code to speakers and another to each sponsor for their allocation. You can also add people by hand from the attendee page without an order. Either way they get a QR ticket and appear on the same check-in list as paying delegates.Hidden tickets →
Is there an agenda builder, session selection or abstract management?
No. Hi.Events handles registration, payment, invoicing and check-in. It does not build an agenda, let delegates pick sessions from a program, or manage paper submissions. Most organizers publish the program on their own conference website and embed the Hi.Events checkout there. Limited-capacity workshops can be sold as separate ticket types or add-ons. The comparison of conference ticketing platforms covers the other systems organizers shortlist.Conference ticketing platforms compared →
Can I print name badges for delegates?
Not inside Hi.Events. Badge printing is not part of the product. There is a separate free badge designer on this site that turns an attendee list into print-ready name badges with the name, company and a QR code, and it runs in your browser without a signup. Export your attendee list from Hi.Events, save it as a CSV and load it there.Free event badge designer →
Can I send registrations to my CRM?
Yes, in two ways. Webhooks send a signed notification to your own systems when something happens, such as a new order or a check-in, and the attendee and order lists can be exported with the registration answers included. Marketing opt-in is captured at checkout, so you know which delegates agreed to hear from you.Webhooks →
