NewWorks with Claude and ChatGPT

Run your events by asking.
In Claude or ChatGPT.

Connect Hi.Events to the AI assistant you already use, then ask it to find an attendee, resend a ticket, pull last week's sales or set up next month's dates. It works with your account and your permissions, and it costs nothing extra.

Done. Dave Okafor's Workshop day ticket is on its way to [email protected], the address on their order. If it hasn't arrived in a few minutes, ask them to check spam: Hi.Events only resends to that address.

Sales and reports

Sales figures and reports

Setting up

Set up events by describing them

Give it the dates, tickets and prices in one message and it creates them. It can set up a whole event or one part of it: twelve weeks of classes, a question with follow-ups, a code that expires on Sunday.

  • Events, venues, tickets, tiers, add-ons and shared capacity
  • Repeating dates for classes, tours and weekly nights
  • Registration questions, promo codes, lineup and schedule
  • Event page colours, ticket design and website widgets

More ways to use it

Assistants can also read files and photos, and connect to your email and other apps. These requests combine that with your Hi.Events account.

With email connected

Clear your inbox

With your email connected too, ask it to find everyone who says their ticket never arrived, resend the ones it can match, and draft replies for the rest.

On your phone

At the door, from your phone

If the scanner stops working, type "check in Ciara Byrne" into the assistant on your phone. Some assistants also take this by voice.

Any assistant

Build the agenda from a spreadsheet

Upload your speaker spreadsheet and ask it to add the speakers, the rooms and the sessions.

Any assistant

Draft an event from a poster

Upload a photo of a poster and ask for a draft event with its date, venue and prices. Check the draft before you publish it.

Scheduled tasks

A weekly sales summary

Assistants that run scheduled tasks can send you last week's tickets, sales and best promo code every Monday morning.

Any assistant

A summary for sponsors or a committee

Ask for a one-page summary of an event: tickets sold, check-ins, the best-selling tickets and the most-used promo codes.

Any assistant

Figures for your accountant

Ask for the quarter's tax summary and Hi.Events fees by order as a table you can paste into a spreadsheet.

Any assistant

A promo code when sales slow down

Ask it to compare this week's sales with last week's, then create a promo code with an end date if you need one.

Limits

What the assistant can't do

An assistant can misread a request, or be misled by something it reads, such as an email. These limits apply whatever it is asked to do.

It acts as you

Your role, your events, your permissions. If you can't see financials, neither can it. If you can only see two events, it sees those two.

Read-only access

Choose Read only when you connect and it can look but never change anything. It isn't even given the options for making changes.

No refunds or payments

It can't refund, cancel or mark orders as paid, and it can't change payouts or payment settings. Those stay in the dashboard.

Resends go to the address on record

It can resend a ticket, but only to the email already on the order, and it can't change anyone's email address.

Limits on email

One resend per attendee every 10 minutes, and no more than 5 emails to one address in that time, however it's asked.

Every connection is visible

You confirm your password to connect, we email you when an app is connected, and you can disconnect it at any time.

FAQ

AI assistants and Hi.Events, answered

Which AI assistants work with Hi.Events?
Claude and ChatGPT, which show as verified when you connect them. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other AI tools that support MCP, the standard Claude and ChatGPT use for connectors, work too.How to connect →
Do I need to be technical to set it up?
No. You copy one link from your Hi.Events profile, paste it into your assistant's settings, and approve it on a Hi.Events page. There's no code and no API key to manage.Step-by-step guide →
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. It's part of every Hi.Events account. Hi.Events itself costs organizers nothing: our 1.25% + $0.60 booking fee on paid tickets is added at checkout, so the buyer pays it, and you pay only card processing. Your AI assistant may need a paid plan to add connectors.Pricing →
Can the assistant refund or cancel orders?
No. Refunds, cancellations, marking orders as paid, payouts and payment settings all stay in the Hi.Events dashboard. It also can't message your attendees, apart from resending a ticket or order confirmation they already have.
Can it get things wrong?
Yes, the way any assistant can: it might misread what you meant, or pick the wrong event if two have similar names. Name the event when you have several, ask it to show you its plan before a big change, and start with Read only access if you only want answers. Everything it does goes through the same checks as the dashboard, so it can't oversell a ticket.
What happens to my attendees' data?
When the assistant looks something up, the result, including attendee names and emails, goes to the AI company you use, under their terms. Hi.Events only gives it what your own account can see, and you can connect with Read only access. Think about your attendees' privacy before you paste their details into any chat.
Can my team use it?
Yes. Each person connects their own assistant, and it gets their role and event access. Viewers can only connect it as Read only, and members who can't see financials get ticket counts without revenue.Team roles →
How do I disconnect it?
Open My Profile, then API keys, and click Disconnect next to the app under Connected apps. It stops working straight away. Connections you haven't used for 90 days stop on their own.
I'm a developer. What is it exactly?
An MCP server at https://api.hi.events/mcp. Clients sign in with standard OAuth or send an API key in a header. Each tool calls the same REST endpoint you would, with the permissions of the person who connected it.Developer docs →
