Take the fee off your books.

Tito charges 3% of every paid ticket and the organizer always absorbs it. Hi.Events charges 1.25% + $0.60 per paid ticket and lets you add it at checkout, so the ticket price on your budget is the price you keep. Card payments settle into your own Stripe account as tickets sell on both.

Why organizers move to Hi.Events

We’ve used Hi.Events now for a few events and really love it. It’s also been fun to see improvements roll out as we go. We’re definitely never going back to Eventbrite.

How do the fees compare?
Tito charges 3% in the US, 3% in the EU, 3% in the UK, 3% in Australia. The fee is capped at €25 a ticket. Charity and community events can apply for a 2.5% rate. Fees cannot be passed to the buyer, and Tito's fee is not returned when you refund an order. Hi.Events charges 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per paid ticket: 1.25% + $0.60 in the US, 1.25% + €0.50 in the EU, 1.25% + £0.45 in the UK, 1.25% + A$0.85 in Australia, with Stripe's card rate paid separately. Both platforms leave card processing to your own payment account, so the comparison is platform fee against platform fee. Tito makes the organizer absorb its fee; on Hi.Events you can pass ours to the buyer at checkout, so your own outlay can be zero.Tito fees explained →
Is Hi.Events cheaper than Tito?
It depends on the ticket price. Tito's 3% is the smaller fee on tickets under about $35, £26 or €29, and ours is smaller above that. On a $300 conference ticket that is $9 on Tito against $4.35 on Hi.Events. Tito caps its fee at €25, which only applies above about €833 a ticket. Whatever the price, on Hi.Events you can pass the fee to the buyer.
Does Hi.Events handle invoices and purchase orders?
Yes. Invoices carry your own numbering, business details and terms, taxes and fees can be shown inside the price or added at checkout, and offline payment lets a company pay by bank transfer against instructions you write.
What do I lose by leaving Tito?
Tito's read and write API, and styling its embedded widget with your own CSS. Hi.Events has webhooks rather than a public API, and the embedded widget takes your colors through its settings rather than a stylesheet.
When do I get paid?
On Tito: as tickets sell, into your own Stripe or PayPal account. On Hi.Events you connect your own Stripe account and card payments settle into it as tickets sell, on your Stripe payout schedule. We never hold your money.Connecting Stripe →
Can I move my events over from Tito?
Yes, and the usual time to do it is between events. Recreating an event takes a few minutes, then you point your ticket links at the new page. Existing orders stay on Tito while new sales run through Hi.Events.
Do attendees need an account or an app?
No. They check out on your event page or in the widget on your own site, get their ticket by email with a link to the ticket page where the QR code is, and you scan it at the door from any phone.
Is Hi.Events really open source?
Yes, under the AGPL licence. Most organizers use the hosted version so they never touch a server, but the code is public and you can self-host it if you prefer.View on GitHub →
