5,000+ organizers trust Hi.Events

Sell workshop tickets.
Every date on one page, paid in advance.

Hi.Events is a workshop booking system for teachers, studios and workshop hosts. It costs 1.25% + $0.60 per paid ticket, a weekly class lives on one page with every date on it, and card payments settle into your own Stripe account as places sell.

Selling 250 tickets at $30? You'd keep $481 more than on Eventbrite.

A term of classes as one page

Describe the pattern once, such as every Tuesday at 7pm for ten weeks, and Hi.Events creates the dates. Change the price, capacity or times on any single date without touching the rest.

Small rooms that stay full

Give each date a capacity of 8 or 12 and turn on the waitlist. When someone cancels, the place is offered to the next person in line automatically.

Know who is coming before they arrive

Ask about experience level, allergies or access needs at checkout, then message the people booked on a date with what to bring.

§ 01 · Organizers

Why organizers move to Hi.Events

We’ve used Hi.Events now for a few events and really love it. It’s also been fun to see improvements roll out as we go. We’re definitely never going back to Eventbrite.

  • Materials and kits

An add-on attached to the ticket, or sold on its own, with its own stock limit.

  • Returning students

A promo code for a percentage or a fixed amount off, with an expiry date and a cap on uses if you want one.

  • Full dates

A waitlist for each date that offers the place automatically when a cancellation frees one up.

§ 07 · FAQ

Before you open bookings

How much does it cost to sell workshop tickets on Hi.Events?
Free workshops cost nothing. Paid tickets are 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per ticket: 60¢ in the US, €0.50 in the EU, 45p in the UK and A$0.85 in Australia. There is no monthly fee and no contract, so a quiet month costs nothing. You can pass the fee to the student at checkout or absorb it, and Stripe charges its card processing separately. Card payments settle into your own Stripe account as places sell, on your Stripe payout schedule.See pricing →
Can I take class bookings for a weekly class without creating an event for every date?
Yes. Create a recurring event and set a rule, such as every Tuesday at 7pm for ten weeks, and Hi.Events generates the dates on one page. A schedule can hold up to 1,200 sessions with up to 24 time slots a day. Students see a calendar, pick a date and a time, and book only that session. You can change the price, capacity, times or location of any single date.Recurring events →
How do waitlists work for small classes?
Turn the waitlist on for the ticket. When a date sells out, students see a join waitlist option for that date in place of the buy button. When a place frees up, it is held and offered to the next person in line by email, and they have a set time to complete the booking before it moves on. New events start with a two-hour offer window, which you can change, and you can also offer places by hand.Waitlists →
Does the workshop booking system support memberships, class passes or credits?
No. Every booking is a ticket for one date, paid for at checkout. There are no memberships, subscriptions, class passes or credits that carry across bookings. What you can do is give returning students a promo code, or sell a multi-week course as a single ticket for the whole run. A studio that runs mainly on memberships will need studio management software for that side. Can I sell materials or a kit with the ticket?
Yes. Add-ons are products attached to a ticket or sold on their own, each with its own price and stock limit, so a materials fee, a tool kit or a lunch can be added at checkout. Registration questions can be asked on an add-on too, for a size or a color choice. On a recurring event, add-ons do not count toward a date's capacity. Only tickets do.Product add-ons →
Can I sell tickets for classes online and teach over a video call?
Yes. Mark the event as online, or a single date in a recurring schedule, and enter the joining details such as a video link and passcode. They are shown only to ticket holders, on their order page and their ticket, and only once the order is complete. They are not included in the body of any email.Online events →
Can students book on my own website?
Yes. The ticket widget embeds ticket selection in a page on your own site with two snippets of code. When a student continues to checkout it opens over your page, so they do not leave your site. You also get a branded event page and an organizer page listing everything you have on sale, for sharing on social media.Embedding the ticket widget →
Can I ask about experience level or allergies when someone books?
Yes. Registration questions can be asked once per order or once per ticket, limited to the ticket types they apply to, and made mandatory. Question types include text, dropdowns, checkboxes and dates. Answers appear on each attendee record and in the attendee export, so you can plan the session before anyone arrives.Registration questions →
