Best workshop ticketing platforms

Selling places on workshops and classes comes down to four questions: what the fee does to a low-priced ticket, whether a weekly class can live on one page, what happens when a small class fills up, and whether students can book on your own website. These are the platforms teachers, studios and workshop hosts shortlist, with each one's published fee and what it is good at.

Fees and features from each platform's own pricing pages, checked September 2026. We make Hi.Events, so it is listed first and labelled. Every figure for the others is sourced on its comparison page.

§ 03 · FAQ

Choosing a workshop ticketing platform

What does each platform cost on a $30 workshop ticket?
Counting card processing on every platform, the cheapest on this list in US dollars are TryBooking ($1.69), TicketSource ($2.04), Hi.Events ($2.15), Luma ($2.67). Percentage fees grow with the ticket price and flat fees do not, so the order changes on cheaper and dearer tickets; the table on this page shows every platform in four currencies.
Which workshop ticketing platform has the lowest fees?
It depends on the ticket price and the country. The fixed part of a fee, like the $0.99 in Humanitix's US rate, is a large share of a low-priced class and a small share of an expensive weekend workshop, while a percentage fee works the other way round. Luma charges 5% on its free plan, or nothing on its Luma Plus subscription at $59 a month billed annually. The fee table on this page shows each platform's all-in cost on the same ticket, including card processing where it is charged on top.
Which platforms can sell a weekly class as one listing?
Eventbrite, Humanitix and TryBooking all list recurring events, and Hi.Events runs schedules of up to 1,200 sessions with the price, capacity or times changed on any date. Luma has no recurring events or time slots, so you clone the event for each date. We could not confirm recurring events for TicketSource from its published material.
Do I need a marketplace to fill a class?
Only if you do not already have an audience. Eventbrite, Luma, Humanitix and TryBooking list events on their own discovery sites, and TicketSource has What's On listings, which can help a new class find its first students. Hi.Events has no marketplace. A studio with its own mailing list and regulars usually fills the same places from its own website and socials.
