5,000+ organizers trust Hi.Events

Art class booking.
Pottery, painting and paint and sip.

Hi.Events is an art class booking system for art teachers, pottery studios and paint and sip hosts. There's no monthly fee, just 1.25% + $0.60 per paid place. Pass the fee on and someone booking a $45 class pays $2.29 less than on Eventbrite. The money goes into your own Stripe account as places sell.

Selling 500 places at $45? You'd keep $1,147 more than on Eventbrite.

Why organizers move to Hi.Events

We’ve used Hi.Events now for a few events and really love it. It’s also been fun to see improvements roll out as we go. We’re definitely never going back to Eventbrite.

§ 03 · Tickets

How a pottery and art studio sets up its classes

One recurring event holds the weekly classes, with each date's capacity matched to the wheels or easels in the room. Courses and one-off nights each get their own event.

  • Weekly taster classes

A recurring schedule with a label on each class, such as "Wheel taster" or "Hand building", and a capacity that matches the wheels.

  • Six-week wheel course

A course as its own event, with one ticket for all six weeks.

  • Paint and sip nights

A one-off event or a monthly date on the schedule, with a capacity to match the easels and a drink as an add-on.

  • Clay, firing and glazing

An add-on sold with the place, or on its own, with its own stock limit.

  • Life drawing drop-ins

A weekly date with a low price, and a donation ticket for anyone who wants to give more.

  • Hen parties and private groups

A hidden ticket that only a promo code unlocks. Groups can pay by bank transfer and get an invoice.

  • Full classes

A waitlist for each date. When someone cancels, the place is offered to the next person automatically.

§ 07 · FAQ

Before you open bookings

How much does it cost to sell art classes on Hi.Events?
There is no monthly fee and no contract. Paid places are 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per place: 60¢ in the US, €0.50 in the EU, 45p in the UK and A$0.85 in Australia. Free classes cost nothing. You can pass the fee to the student or absorb it, and Stripe charges its card processing separately. Card payments settle into your own Stripe account as places sell, on your Stripe payout schedule.See pricing →
Can I sell a pottery course as one booking?
Yes. Create the course as its own event with a single ticket for the whole course, and a capacity that matches your wheels. The student books once and is on the list for every week. For drop-in tasters, a recurring schedule lets students book one date at a time instead.Recurring events →
How do I charge for clay, firing or materials?
Add-ons are products attached to a place or sold on their own, each with its own price and stock limit. A materials fee can be added at checkout, and firing can also be sold on its own, without a place. Add-ons such as materials and firing do not count toward a class's capacity. Only places do.Product add-ons →
Does it work for paint and sip nights?
Yes. A paint and sip night is a ticketed event: set a capacity to match the easels, and sell a drink on arrival or a bottle for the table as an add-on. Monthly nights can sit on one recurring schedule with every date on one page.
What reports do I get?
Recurring events have an occurrence summary with one row per class: its date, label, attendees, capacity used, orders, takings and check-ins. There are also daily sales, ticket type and promo code reports, and across all your events a revenue summary and a check-in summary. Every report downloads as a CSV file.Event reports →
Can I take bookings for private parties and hen dos?
Yes. Create a hidden ticket for the group that only a promo code unlocks, so it never shows on your public page. Turn on offline payment if the organizer wants to pay by bank transfer, and turn on invoicing so Hi.Events issues an invoice with the order.Hidden tickets →
Does it support memberships, open studio passes or gift vouchers?
No. Every booking is a place on a dated class or course. There are no memberships, open studio passes, class packs or gift vouchers. Someone booking a class as a present can book a place in the recipient's name and change it later from their order page.Art class booking platforms compared →
