5,000+ organizers trust Hi.Events

Exhibition ticketing.
Day tickets, passes and a count at every door.

Hi.Events is a ticket sales system for exhibitions, expos and trade shows. It costs 1.25% + $0.60 per paid ticket, visitors buy from your own branded page or your show website, and card payments settle into your own Stripe account as tickets sell.

Selling 250 tickets at $30? You'd keep $481 more than on Eventbrite.

Day tickets and passes on one page

Each day and each multi-day pass is a ticket type with its own price and allocation. Give every day a capacity, and a pass counts against each day it covers.

Trade and public, registered differently

Registration questions are set per ticket type, so trade visitors are asked for company, job title and sector while the public ticket asks nothing extra.

A live count at every entrance

Door staff open a check-in link on their own phones and scan. Each hall or entrance gets its own list and its own live count, the same on every device.

Why organizers move to Hi.Events

We’ve used Hi.Events now for a few events and really love it. It’s also been fun to see improvements roll out as we go. We’re definitely never going back to Eventbrite.

§ 03 · Tickets

How ticket sales for a three-day exhibition are usually set up

One event covering all three days, with a ticket type for each day and each pass. A shared capacity per day keeps every day inside the hall limit, and exhibitors and press get tickets the public never sees.

  • Day tickets

A ticket type for each day, with its own price, allocation and sale window.

  • Multi-day pass

One ticket type added to every day's capacity, so each pass sold takes a place on each day it covers.

  • Trade visitors

A free or paid trade ticket with registration questions for company, job title and sector.

  • Exhibitor and press passes

Hidden tickets that only appear when a promo code is entered, with a code for each exhibitor capped at a number of uses.

  • Exhibitor and sponsor invitations

A tracked link for each, so you can see whose invitations sold tickets on the dashboard.

  • Timed entry instead of day tickets

A recurring schedule with up to 24 entry slots a day, each with its own capacity. Visitors pick a date and a time at checkout.

Check-in

Send each entrance a link. That is the setup.

No app to install, no account to create, no scanner to rent. Scan with a phone camera or a USB scanner, or search a name and tap.

  • Every device sees the same counts as the queue moves
  • A separate list per hall, entrance or day, each with its own live count
  • Exhibitors, press and visitors on one list
  • Undo a check-in in one tap

§ 07 · FAQ

Before you put the show on sale

How much does the exhibition ticket sales system cost?
Free tickets cost nothing, and that includes free trade visitor registration. Paid tickets are 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per ticket: 60¢ in the US, €0.50 in the EU, 45p in the UK and A$0.85 in Australia. There is no monthly fee and no contract. You can pass the fee to the visitor at checkout or absorb it, and Stripe charges its card processing separately. Card payments settle into your own Stripe account as tickets sell, on your Stripe payout schedule.See pricing →
Can I sell day tickets and multi-day passes for the same show?
Yes. Create a ticket type for each day and one for each pass, all on one event page. To keep each day inside the hall limit, create a shared capacity for each day and add the day ticket and every pass that covers that day to it. A ticket can belong to several capacities at once, and a sale counts against each of them.Managing capacity →
Can I run timed entry for an exhibition?
Yes. Set the exhibition up as a recurring event and describe the opening pattern once, with up to 24 entry slots a day and a capacity for each session. A schedule can hold up to 1,200 sessions, and you can change the price, capacity or times on any single date. Visitors pick a date and a time at checkout, and sold-out slots can show a waitlist.Recurring events →
How does trade show ticketing work when trade and public visitors attend the same event?
Give each group its own ticket type. Registration questions are set per ticket type, so the trade ticket can ask for company, job title and sector while the public ticket asks nothing extra. If the trade ticket should not be on public view, hide it behind a promo code and send the code to your trade list. Hi.Events does not vet trade credentials, so the answers are there for you to review.Registration questions →
How do exhibitor and press passes work?
Create a free ticket type for each, hide it, and attach it to a promo code. Only people who enter the code see the ticket. You can give each exhibitor their own code and cap how many times it can be used, or add people by hand from the attendee page without an order. Either way they get a QR ticket and appear on the same check-in lists as visitors.Hidden tickets →
Does this expo ticketing include exhibitor lead scanning or a floor plan?
No. Hi.Events sells the tickets, registers the visitors and runs the door. It does not give exhibitors a lead scanning app, and it has no floor plan or stand booking. Tracked links do show which exhibitor's invitations sold tickets, and you can export the visitor list with its registration answers. The comparison of exhibition ticketing platforms covers the other systems organizers shortlist.Exhibition ticketing platforms compared →
What do door staff need at the entrances?
A phone and an internet connection. Each check-in list opens from a link in the phone's browser, with no app to install and no account to create. Staff scan with the camera or a USB scanner, or search by name. Create a list for each hall, entrance or day and each one shows its own live count. Check-in works online only, so make sure the halls have reliable Wi-Fi or mobile data.Setting up check-in →
Can international visitors and trade buyers get an invoice?
Yes. Turn on invoicing for the event and every order gets a PDF invoice with your numbering prefix, organization name and address, and tax details. The buyer receives it with the order confirmation email and can download it again from their order page. The checkout itself is available in more than 15 languages.Invoices and receipts →
