Best conference ticketing platforms

Conference registration comes down to four questions: what a high-priced delegate ticket costs in fees, what you can ask at registration, how the data reaches your other systems, and when you get the money for venue deposits. These are the platforms conference organizers shortlist, with each one's published fee and what it is good at.

Fees and features from each platform's own pricing pages, checked September 2026. We make Hi.Events, so it is listed first and labelled. Every figure for the others is sourced on its comparison page.

§ 03 · FAQ

Choosing a conference ticketing platform

What does each platform cost on a $30 conference ticket?
Counting card processing on every platform, the cheapest on this list in US dollars are pretix ($1.92), Tito ($2.07), Hi.Events ($2.15), Universe ($2.29). Percentage fees grow with the ticket price and flat fees do not, so the order changes on cheaper and dearer tickets; the table on this page shows every platform in four currencies.
Which conference ticketing platform has the lowest fees?
It depends on the ticket price and the country. Conference tickets are often expensive, so fee caps and flat fees matter more than they do for a gig. Tito caps its 3% at €25 a ticket, pretix caps its 2.5% at €15, and Universe caps its service fee at $19.95 in the US and £9.95 in the UK. The fee table on this page shows each platform's all-in cost on the same ticket, including card processing where it is charged on top.
Which platforms let me pass the booking fee to the delegate?
Hi.Events, Eventbrite and Humanitix let you pass the fee to the buyer or absorb it. Universe does too, except in eight European countries. Tito and Luma do not, so the organizer builds the fee into the ticket price. pretix lets you pass on payment provider fees only.
Which platforms pay out before the conference?
Platforms that use your own payment account pay as tickets sell: Hi.Events and Luma through Stripe, Tito through Stripe or PayPal, and pretix through your own payment provider. Eventbrite pays out after the event by default, and Humanitix and Universe do the same on their own payment gateways unless you connect your own Stripe account. That matters when the venue deposit and catering are due months ahead.
