Best festival ticketing platforms

A festival sells a high-priced ticket months ahead, so the questions are what the fee comes to on a weekend pass, whether the money arrives before the deposits are due, whether the platform brings an audience, and what happens to tickets people can no longer use. These are the platforms festival organizers shortlist, with each one's published fee and what it is good at.

Fees and features from each platform's own pricing pages, checked September 2026. We make Hi.Events, so it is listed first and labelled. Every figure for the others is sourced on its comparison page.

§ 03 · FAQ

Choosing a festival ticketing platform

What does each platform cost on a $30 festival ticket?
Counting card processing on every platform, the cheapest on this list in US dollars are pretix ($1.92), Hi.Events ($2.15), Universe ($2.29), Humanitix ($2.79). Percentage fees grow with the ticket price and flat fees do not, so the order changes on cheaper and dearer tickets; the table on this page shows every platform in four currencies.
Which festival ticketing platform has the lowest fees on a weekend pass?
On a high-priced ticket, a capped fee stops growing: pretix caps its 2.5% at €15 a ticket and Universe caps its service fee at $19.95 in the US or £9.95 in the UK. Percentage fees grow with the price: DICE's US default is 13%, which includes card processing. Hi.Events is 1.25% plus a small fixed amount, which is about $2.48 on a $150 pass. The fee table on this page shows each platform's all-in cost on the same ticket, including card processing where it is charged on top.
Which festival ticketing platforms offer payment plans and resale?
Skiddle offers payment plans and face-value resale through Re:Sell, and Universe adds payment plans on its Standard plan. DICE resells returned tickets through its official Wait List, and Humanitix connects to Tixel for resale. Hi.Events has neither payment plans nor resale; a cancelled ticket can be offered to the next person on a waitlist.
Which platforms pay out before the festival?
Platforms that use your own payment account pay as tickets sell: Hi.Events through Stripe and pretix through your own provider. Skiddle and Universe do the same if you connect your own Stripe account. Eventbrite and DICE pay out after the event by default, and Humanitix does unless you ask for an earlier payout or use your own Stripe account. That matters when artist and site deposits are due months ahead.
