The rules

You qualify if

  1. You already sell tickets somewhere else

You've sold tickets to an event on another platform in the last 12 months. Send us a link to it when you apply.

  2. Your first Hi.Events event sells at least 50 tickets

Each at €10 or more, or the equivalent in your currency. Free tickets, comps and refunded orders don't count.

  3. It's a real, in-person event

People turn up somewhere: a room, a field, a boat. Online-only events don't qualify.

  4. It's legal

The event and everything sold at it has to be legal where it takes place.

There are 20 places, and we confirm each one by email before you start. €250 is paid once per organizer, no later than 10 days after your first event on Hi.Events. Normal ticket fees (1.25% + $0.60) still apply. We won't pay out for events that break the rules, and we can close the fund at any time.

FAQ

Common questions

Is it really cash?
Yes. We pay €250 into your bank account, and you don't pay it back.
Which platforms can I switch from?
Any of them: Eventbrite, DICE, Fatsoma, Skiddle, Resident Advisor, Ticket Tailor, your venue's box office system or anything else. You need to have sold tickets to at least one event there in the last 12 months.
When do I get paid?
No later than 10 days after your first event on Hi.Events. Once it's over we check the ticket sales, ask for your payment details and send the money.
What counts towards the 50 tickets?
Tickets sold on Hi.Events at €10 or more each, or the equivalent in your currency. Free tickets, comps and refunded orders don't count.
Do I have to close my old account?
No. Keep it if you want. The fund only asks that your next event sells its tickets on Hi.Events.
What do Hi.Events fees cost?
Paid tickets are 1.25% + $0.60, with no monthly fee, and you can pass that on to buyers. Our fee pages compare that with what other platforms charge in your market.Compare fees →
Do I need to be approved?
Yes. We check the past event you send us and email you within 2 working days to confirm your place. Wait for that email before you count on the €250.
How many organizers can get it?
There are 20 places. Once we have approved 20 organizers we close applications and say so on this page.
