How do the fees compare?
Posh charges 10% + $0.99 in the US, 10% + €0.91* in the EU, 10% + £0.77* in the UK, 10% + A$1.53* in Australia. The fee is added on top of your base price and shown to buyers as one all-in price. Standard payouts are free; an instant payout costs 5%. Hi.Events charges 1.25% plus a small fixed amount per paid ticket: 1.25% + $0.60 in the US, 1.25% + €0.50 in the EU, 1.25% + £0.45 in the UK, 1.25% + A$0.85 in Australia, with Stripe's card rate paid separately. Posh's fee covers card processing and ours does not, so the calculator on this page adds Stripe's standard rate to the Hi.Events side before it compares. Does Hi.Events have SMS blasts and a discovery feed like Posh?
No. Hi.Events messages attendees by email, by ticket type, and has no consumer feed. You sell from your own event page, the widget on your site and your socials, and you keep the fee difference to spend on your own promotion.
Can my promoters track their sales?
Yes. Create a tracked link for each promoter, sponsor or venue and the promo code report shows what each one sold. Promo codes can unlock hidden tickets, discount by percentage or amount, and be limited to one product.
How do payouts compare?
Posh makes sales available 24 to 48 business hours after purchase with free standard payouts, and charges 5% for an instant one. On Hi.Events card payments settle into your own Stripe account as tickets sell, on your Stripe payout schedule, with no charge from us for any payout.

Can I move my events over from Posh?
Yes, and the usual time to do it is between events. Recreating an event takes a few minutes, then you point your ticket links at the new page. Existing orders stay on Posh while new sales run through Hi.Events.
Do attendees need an account or an app?
No. They check out on your event page or in the widget on your own site, get their ticket by email with a link to the ticket page where the QR code is, and you scan it at the door from any phone.
Is Hi.Events really open source?
Yes, under the AGPL licence. Most organizers use the hosted version so they never touch a server, but the code is public and you can self-host it if you prefer.View on GitHub →
